Artek is a Finnish furniture company that was founded in December 1935 by architect Alvar Aalto and designer Aino Aalto, Maire Gullichsen and Nils-Gustav Hahl. Since Alvar Aalto’s death, Artek has been distributing top-notch products from Finnish young designers to the world as well as world’s most innovative design products to Finland. Artek has never stopped their effort toward innovation, and recently Artek has made a collaboration with Japanese architect Shigeru Ban and created “One-Chair is enough”.
